Members of the Board of Trustees
Dan Jackson has been a member of the CLCC board since 2016 and is a lifelong resident of Cedar Lake. He is currently the board president as well as being involved with the bar committee and house and grounds. He enjoys utilizing the lake for fishing, swimming, boating, and the many sports teams.
1st Vice PresidentMichele Watson has been a member of the CLCC Board since 2016. She also served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary from 2014-2016, where she represented the group on the CLCC Board. Michele grew up in Cedar Lake, moved away for 10 years, and returned to raise her family here. She is active in the community and enjoys the lake activities year round.
2nd VP & Bar Chairperson
Bob Vidal has lived in Cedar lake for five years and served three years as board president. Bob is an insurance professional in areas of employee benefits and individual insurance strategies. A member of the Livingston ELKS, as well as the CLCC Fishing Club and horseshoe team, Bob spends his spare time sailing around the lake, reading, or watching The History Channel.
Lynn has lived in Cedar Lake for more than 30 years. She and her husband Jeff (a lifelong resident) raised their three children, Jeff, Cori and Kati; all of whom participated in HUB Lakes sports along with their parents. Lynn served on the CLLA for over ten years, and has been an active member of the CLCC for over twenty. Since 2008 she has served the CLCC as Rental Chairperson.
Janis Nixon Fols moved to Cedar Lake from Virginia in April of 2006. Volunteering with many national organizations, Janis was eager to get involved in the Cedar Lake Community Club. Although not a national organization, the CLCC is just as great! Janis is on the Cedar Lake Women’s Softball team and also participates in the annual Hub Lakes Bowling Tournament. Janis recently relinquished her long-time role as CLCC Secretary.
Matthew Miner was born and raised in the South (with a four-year stint in Seattle), before moving to New Jersey in 2001 from North Carolina. He met and married his wife Elise and they moved to Cedar Lake in 2003. They have two children and enjoy spending time with friends at the lake’s beaches. Matthew is the director of Microbiology at Eli Lilly & Company and recently served as the CLCC Bar Chairman. In his spare time, Matthew enjoys watching his son’s travel soccer team, his daughter swim, and his favorite NFL team, the Seattle Seahawks.
House & Grounds*
Chris and his wife Karin moved to Cedar Lake in 1989 and have raised three children here: Karin, Dan and Lauren. Chris has been a member of the NYC DC9 Painters Union since 1985 and has been a member of the CLCC since 1991. Chris enjoys walking around the lake, as well as playing horseshoes and darts.
Webmaster, The Blurb, Communications
Jon Sabel moved to Cedar Lake in 2003, at which time he was serving in the US Navy. Upon leaving the service in 2007, he got engaged to and later married life-long Cedar Lake resident, Kristi Augenstein. They now have two boys and together love spending time on or around the lake. Jon is a managing partner in a digital marketing agency and has taken over all website duties for the CLCC, as well as assists with other digital presence efforts.
Bonnie Leonard moved to Cedar Lake in 2011 and joined the CLCC board in 2017. A dancer since age 3, Bonnie previously danced professionally for the New Jersey Nets. She now teaches dance at local studios, including one right here in Denville. Bonnie enjoys kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding, and morning jogs through our beautiful lake community.
Culinary, CedarFestDevin DeMarco has been a resident of Cedar Lake since 2013 along with his wife, Karen, and their three children. Devin has a professional background in environmental science and policy and is the Market Area Director for Federal Programs at First Environment, Inc. He is active in Cedar Lake’s men’s softball and volleyball teams, enjoys cooking and everything Denville.
TrusteeKen Charles was raised in Rock Ridge and moved to Cedar Lake in 1998. He has been a CLCC board member and Treasurer since 2002. His interests include golf, fishing, hunting and the outdoors in general.
TrusteeJohn Obeid and his wife Jackie have been active residents of the Cedar Lake community since 2010. Soon after moving in, the family of two grew to a family of five with the additions of their three daughters – Jemma, Juliet and Josie. John works in commercial real estate, where he manages research analytics for the suburban tri-state area at Colliers International. In his spare time John enjoys brewing beer, watching his children’s sports activities, and likes to think he’s a capable DIYer.
Jennifer Hologounis moved to Cedar Lake in 2014 with her son David, husband Joe Cappetta and their two pups. She is a 2VP in Underwriting at Travelers Insurance Company. Jenn has been an active board member of the CLLA since 2015 holding positions as Treasurer and PR chair. As a family they enjoy traveling, volunteering for several different organizations, and photographing the lake.
